Amazing Pencils

I've used several different brands of pencils in my art career. I found the Tombow drafting pencils when I went to Tokyo's Itoya shop. These have become the absolute best pencils I've found! They offer a truly rich black and they go on exceptionally smooth to the paper, no matter what type I use, and blend very well. I can't recommend these enough- I use them for all of my portrait work!

Truly Excellent Pencil

I truly can’t say enough good things about the Tombow drafting pencils. They are a rich black, the leads rarely break and they are just solid. As you can see, I have 6 HB replacements: I use this one very regularly for drafting children’s book illustrations, portrait work and just in general. I highly recommend them (all 9B to 6H are excellent).

Favorite Pencil Ever

I love these pencils! I have the HB, B, and 2B. They are all extremely well made, the graphite is SMUDGE PROOF....That is incredible. They also have such a cool, simple, classic look, which is something I definitely think about as I take a lot of flat stock photos, and include my tools in pictures of my artwork.

The perfect pencil

Well, I didn't know what a difference the quality of pencil would make, but it sure does! These pencils are wonderful! Love that the graphite is dense and difficult to break with pressure. So glad I discovered them!
