Dual Brush Pen

I tried several other brands ... NO comparison! Tombow has better ink, better ink-flow, precision 'brush' tips, quick drying. They are definitely worth the price. I just wish there were more colors!

I use these in my business for watercoloring because the shades are already absolutely perfect! No need to mix colors to get the right shade. They are also way less messy and super versatile!

I enjoy scrapbooking as well as home art crafts and after purchasing and using many other marker brands such as Copic and Spectrum Noir I have found Tombow to be the best for the price, variety of color, quality, and use. The Tombows' brush tip has the right amount of flexibility. The colors don't change after drying. There is a great range of vibrant colors and with the ability to blend you are able to create so many more. What makes Tombow far superior than other brands for me is the blending. I cannot say enough about the ways you can blend but I'll try and keep it to the 3 main points. 1. Yes, they self-clean with just a few quick swipes on scratch paper, (Note: the clear N00 pen may stain the brush but it will still brush clean). 2. You don't have to blend only right after the first color is applied, I've gone back to things I've done and they blend as if I just worked on them, with others you can only blend during the "open" window before they dry. 3. The ability to mix colors by using a non-porous surface like glass is amazing I love the shadow effects when I'm writing cards and chinese characters. Bottom line, you have to try it I recommend buying at least two pens to really see what they can do.

I purchased the large 90+ set of these pens and love using them. The ink flows so smoothly, and the colors are beautiful. I especially like that I can order single color pens when a frequently used pen runs out of ink. Easy to order, and they arrive in 2 or 3 days.

Many uses. My favourite is a watercolour base.
A staple in my art supplies. Kids love using them too.

Wow, these are the best markers! The color comes out evenly, no stroke marks! I am so excited about blending the colors! My first experiment came out great!

I purchased these markers quite a while ago and they are so much fun to write with! I purchased them individually based off of colors I liked rather than a set. I'm teaching myself how to do calligraphy and brush lettering, and most blogs mention these are good to start off with! Can't beat the price! :)

I am a manufacturer of cardstock model kits. I have been recommending Ishido/Marvey markers to my customers for about 10 years. I recently found out about this product and I am sold. The colors are more to my liking. The price is better. They last longer and don't "bleed" as much. And the overall best thing is the large brush tip is very pointy. That makes getting into tight corners a breeze. I am now recommending these markers.

I am so happy with the Dual Brush pens! I love how they are water based and that the ink doesn't leak through the page. As a new watercolor user, the brush pen is a great way to practice while on the go. I use them for calligraphy and painting alike. Blending is easy and even correcting small mistakes is a snap. I will definitely be adding onto my Tombow collection!

I'm an artist who has been using these markers for the last two years. I started using them as markers but then started to experiment using brushes and water, and the results are amazing. For many years I have used these both with and instead of brushes for watercolor paintings. These are easy to use with water for wash techniques. The range of colors is enormous. No question that these are my preferred brand.

A couple year ago I started Drawn Together NYC, an event entertainment company specializing in live portraits and caricatures. The only product I use to create this artworks is the assorted line of Tombow dual brush pens.
The reason I love this product is that the markers can cover the page quickly, the wide variety of colors blend and cover each other nicely, and there is no odor, which allows me to work in any environment without creating a toxic chemical cloud (unlike those stinky Prismacolors).
This is a really outstanding marker and it works great for anything from quick sketches to finely detailed and layered masterpieces.
The inks can be classified into two categories - strong color and weak color. The strong colors are incredibly vibrant and rich, with a dramatic and eye catching saturation perfect for graphic designs. The weak colors (which I prefer to use in my practice) create an effect somewhere between watercolor and pastel and are great for life drawing. The weak colors blend well and allow overlapping colors to shine through each other while the strong colors block each other out. If you're working on something like a landscape or a portrait I recommend using the weaker colors and adding highlights from the strong colors to balance the complementary qualities of the brush pen inks.
One last thing to note - these markers act very differently on different kinds of paper. I've used the same markers on different brands of heavy weight vellum paper and the line quality, the blending, and the colors themselves come out very differently. I recommend using Strathmore 300lb Bristol Vellum pads for excellent results.

I love Tombow. My grandfather is an artist and has had Tombow markers for as long as I remember. I started using them because of him. I saw that his collection of Tombow markers has lasted for years and I have not seen the same quality and blending ability in any other brand.

A great product. Really easy to use. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

I started using these pens when I was rubber stamping. They're great, I love the colors. I now am retired and have found enjoyment in coloring mandelas, I love the hard ones and use both ends of the pen. You can bet I'll be a customer for a long time! I definitely would highly recommend this pen over anything else I've tried.

After my pens came in, I was just looking for any excuse I could find to use them. I fell absolutely in love!

Easy to use. Broad tip for large coloring areas. Narrow tip for small detail work or lettering. Best of all, does not bleed through standard copy paper and comes in a wide variety of colors.

My mom bought me a few of these dual brush pens a few years ago and honestly I didn't use them much because I didn't know how! Recently, I opened an etsy shop and am exploring all sorts of creative paths and these pens are AMAZING! They are so versatile, Tombow does an incredible job on their website and especially social media to demonstrate the different uses of the pens! I have about 15 pens and I can't wait to have them all one day. Seriously these are great for everything. Both ends are wonderful for coloring, lettering with these is beautiful, the color blending is a great tool for creating a unique piece and the best part is that they have a gorgeous water color look ! You HAVE to get some of these pens and try it for yourself.

I've used over dozens of brush pens from many makers and Tombow has continually remained my choice for my personal and professional lettering needs. The felt brush is the perfect firmness for all stroke widths, and the lined tip picks up all the slack of messy edges. The water base ink is also amazing being that you hardly ever get bleeding on most papers.

When I was first getting into art (age 11) I got these from a local craft store (I wanted copies but they were twice the price of Tombow). I love them so much! I only have a few basic colors but I'm getting more soon! I have created a few works with them (I don't get to draw often because of school - blech!) and I think they all turned out pretty well! I get lots of compliments and am always told by my friends that I am great at watercolor paintings and I always tell them they are markers that make it much easier to watercolor! A couple of my friends (who are much better artists than me and have artists in their families) have asked me what markers I use and have tried them. They love them! EVERYONE LOVES TOMBOW!

These are the best pens / markers I've ever used. I have lots of Copics, Blicks, and a few other brands, but these are the BEST. Copics bleed through most conventional papers, but not the Tombows! I can use these on printer paper, craft cardstock, and greeting cards. They blend beautifully with each other on most surfaces to create beautiful ombres and paint-like effects, but also stay separate when not intentionally blended. The light colors pick up a little of the darker colors on the tip of the marker but with just a couple brushes of the tip on scrap paper, it cleans itself. The hard marker side is great for outlines and writing, and the paintbrush tip is great for everything else. The tips are very fine-point and get into very small areas that need color. My only disappointment is that there aren't more colors like there are with the Copics. I'd like to see a few more shades of medium green and yellow or gold. Even though they're blendable I wouldn't hesitate buying more colors; they provide inspiration and create even more possibilities!

I absolutely love this brush pen! I use it for bujo, planning, taking notes, etc. I recently started to blog and post my work on Instagram so I thought I might try these pens I've heard so much about and I am in love! I use it for everything, all the time! I would recommend this for anyone and everyone (:

The pen works smoothly and is great for beginners. This is a great pen.

These are truly my favorite art markers, the only ones I use. The variation in line width is key.

These pens blend better than any other pen I've tried. They have a water color effect when you use the lightest hues. I want every color!

So far, I have been pleased with the pens. They work great on art rubber stamps. Only wish the large "brush" end was more flexible.

I really like the Tombow dual tip marker but I wish the ink lasts a little longer. I will repurchase.

I love this product!! The only setback is the thinness of the brush too varies from pen to pen but the colors are amazing, the brush and marker tips keep their shape very well and the ink doesn't bleed through a lot of different papers!

I love these pens so much with all of my heart. They're really good for hand lettering. The only thing is that the labels on the side with the numbers fade quickly, so if the numbers are important to you, i suggest making labels yourself to put over top the original ones.
