Snow Bird Card Instructions:

 

1. Cut paper with paper trimmer:

  • Vellum panel - 4” square
  • Light Blue panel - 4” square
  • Dark Blue panel - 4.25” square
  • Card (light or med blue) - 5” x 10”, 5” square folded size

2. Vellum panel to pattern and trace with MONO® White Gel Pen.

For best results, place on a padded surface while tracing.


3. Apply color using Dual Brush Pens 476 Cyan and 373 Sea Blue on the back of the traced panel.
Mirror the white traced marks adding the color in short strokes. You do not need to add too much color.

4. Blend the colors using the N00 Blender Brush Pen.

5. Add the 899 Redwood and blend with the Blender Brush Pen.

Do not overwork the colors.


6. Use the 946 Gold Ochre pen for the beak and feet, and the N25 Lamp Black brush pen for the eye.

7. Adhere vellum panel onto light blue panel using the MONO® Vellum Adhesive Tape Runner.

8. Adhere panel onto dark blue panel using MONO® Permanent Adhesive Tape Runner.

9. Adhere framed panel onto card front using MONO® Permanent Adhesive Tape Runner.

10. Add snowflake stickers.

A pair of tweezers or needle tool makes handling of the stickers easier.


11. Add the rhinestones with the MONO® Glue Pen.

12. Add snow on branches and snow flurries with MONO® White Gel Pen.

 

Gift Box Instructions:

 

13. Cut materials for the box:

  • Two - 8” square light weight cardboard
  • Two - 10” square wrapping paper
  • One - 5.75” square med. blue panel
  • One - 5” square light blue panel

14. Cover one side of light cardboard pieces with wrapping paper using MONO® Multi Liquid Glue.

Use broad point of glue applicator to spread glue evenly. Press to adhere paper firmly and trim off excess paper


15. Score and notch covered cardboard pieces:

  • Lid - measure 1” from edges
  • Bottom - measure 7/8” from edges This makes the lid slightly larger to fit easily over the box bottom.

16. Fold and glue tabs to construct box using MONO® Multi Liquid Glue.

Use clips to hold corners until glue has dried. (Optional: cover the inside of the boxes with a 6” square piece of blue paper.)


17. Decorate box top.

A chipboard snowflake, paper panels and ribbon were used to decorate the box top.
